It will be many months before I will be able to return to Stone Cliff but it will be my first stop out when I get back to Oregon City. The restaurant, which stretches down the top of the cliff overlooking the Clackamas River, is comfortable for a party of two or twenty. We ate inside the day we stopped, due to the almost 100 degree temperature, but there were still a number of customers enjoying the terrace. I had the Hazelnut crusted chicken salad and the serving was large enough to take leftovers home for the next day. I had a cold coffee and I wish I knew what it was called, delicious, no-alcohol, and I could have easily had a second one. But the star of the lunch was the onion ring appetizer, perfectly crispy and the Chipotle Aioli was the perfect blend of smooth, spicy and smoky. I would go back just to have that aioli again. Service was excellent. Reservations are recommended, Stone Cliff Inn is absolutely "worth the mileage".
We just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here and it was absolute perfection!!! Our server, the service, the view, the apps, the meal and the drinks…Chef’s KISS. Needless to say this is our new go-to for special occasions. 🥰
This place is lovely, great service. Plenty of parking and a great view of the river. Everything was delicious and the servers were wonderful. If I truly had to nitpick anything I would say the risotto could have been cooked 30 seconds longer and the butter was broken but still tasty. Everything else is truly on point. Definitely recommend!
My dad and I enjoyed a great lunch a with a beautiful view. The staff were accommodating to his mobility needs and we had a really wonderful experience. I will be back.
The food was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. The beef burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly, while the chicken sandwich was juicy and satisfying. The salads were fresh and crisp, and the calamari came in generous portions with big, tender pieces of squid paired with vegetables—tasty yet light and healthy. The atmosphere was pleasant and green, making the experience even more enjoyable. To top it off, the blackberry lemonade was refreshing and delicious.
I was very impressed with how much room for parking there was after driving that short curved up hill. The food was pleasantly good, and the service was onpoint. We seated outside where the view was spectacular. Yes, I will definitely coming back.
We ate here based on a friend’s recommendation. We sat outside and chose the pre fixe menu (early bird seating). It was 3 courses and absolutely delicious. Service was top notch. I made note on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and they presented us with a sweet card. I can’t recommend enough!!
My son and I had lunch at Stone Cliff Inn today after an appointment in Clackamas, and it was honestly such a good experience. Our waitress was AMAZING. I want to say her name was Faith, but I’m not 100% sure. Tall, long blonde hair in a ponytail, lovely smile. Seriously, she was the sweetest, kindest human being I have encountered all week. Give her a raise!! The food was great too. I had the salmon chowder, French dip, and a Red Rover cocktail. My son had a Pink Floyd mocktail, I think that was the name. He didn’t love the rhubarb bitters, but he fully approved of his Wagyu burger. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the Clackamas River, and the whole atmosphere was just perfect. We also got desserts to go. I brought my daughter the Chocolate Mousse Ganache Cake, which was super rich and delicious. I got a slice of lemon cake with some kind of preserves topping, and while the flavor was really good, it was a little dry. We will definitely be back to see Faith. And honestly, the food is pretty good too. I also briefly considered stealing Faith and letting her know my company is hiring remote roles with generous pay, because some people are just that lovely.
I came in to celebrate my 35th birthday last night (4/15) and had a great time! It was my first time visiting, and we came for the first seating dinner menu, which did not disappoint. Our server was so fun and great at her job, I wish I caught her name but she was blonde and bartending (I think she said Marianne?) Whoever she was, she’s great at her job! The view was great, the food was pretty good, but our server really made the experience so great! Thank you, I def will be coming back :)
Had a great experience at Stone Cliff. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Everything we ordered tasted really good and the service was friendly. The view is absolutely beautiful and makes the whole dining experience even better. The only downside was that the portion sizes felt a little small for the price. Overall, a great spot with quality food, great scenery, and I’d definitely come back again.
